this one was inspired by one of the videos at Animal Planet that asked a question - will generation to come will remeber as greedy ape? :)

ahh.. greed..
it has been with us since the begining of evolution.. it in fact is one of the moving forces of evolution.. quality that ensures that living being stays alive.. from grass and trees to the mountain goats and whales...
and so it did for humans.. the wish to have more fruits to fill the belly was the moving force to invent the cudgel... tho i prefer to belive that the stick was invented to hit someone who had more fruits and take them away :) but it was greed that moved those creatures long long time ago...

now... well now.. greed is what the whole human world is built on.. it's all about the money..
but things have changed.. as the dominant species our greed impacts the world realy hard.. draining the recourses.. poluting the oceans cuz it's way less expensive to piss in the see then to invent a solutions.. and money is all that counts..

to be honest.. i do see it realy ironic.. that the moving force of all the living beings, in human hands turns into force that will pretty soon destroy all the living beings :) and that's why i drew this drawing :)
no preaching.. just a human nature :)

We cannot have the benefit of aspiration without the downfall of greed, I suppose.

i gues not.. but we could try..
cuz in modern society we have alot of our old instincts to fight with.. for example - eating.. for thousands of years the one who eats most has more energy to live and to have sex alot of times :) but for humans, now.. when there's so much food around us.. ones who eat more basicly become fat and just don't get to have sex much :) so we basicly fight this instinct on everyday basis... and i think we could deal with greed to.. at least in a perfect world filled with perfect people :D

Yep I've done a lot of research on the evolution of humans into posthumanity than just about anyone (I'm writing a book on the topic). All our culture and technology is quite separate from our instinctual urges; I agree, it will be very difficult but also very necessary to settle this divide in the coming decades.

well.. considering the impact industrialisation has left on nature i kinda doubt that we have decades.. there is this level of temperature after reaching wich there is no turning back and planet will just keep on heating up until it becomes kinda like Marss..
so we have to deal with those instincts for our own survival..
tho on the other hand - such efforts would lead to even more globalisation and turning world into one.. with one governement and stuff.. and that's alsow not a good thing.. :) hehe.. well.. some of conspiracy theories have reached me too :D
